Coaching Course and Certification Fees
Arclight delivers coaching education across Canada through two separate pathways: eligible NCCP training and independent ARX certification. Each pathway has its own registration, course standards, assessment requirements, certification decision, and record-keeping process.
Completing an NCCP course does not automatically grant ARX certification. Completing an ARX course does not grant an NCCP credential or replace an official NCCP transcript in the Coaching Association of Canada’s Locker.
Archery Alberta Participants, PSO's and Affiliated Clubs
Arclight operates independently and does not deliver courses on behalf of Archery Alberta. Archery Alberta membership or club affiliation does not make Archery Alberta responsible for Arclight registration, payment, scheduling, delivery, assessment, or certification. We will however, offer and provide facilitation of courses for NCCP based certification where needed.
Alberta participants may register directly through Arclight at the Alberta rates shown below.
NCCP Course Pathway
Course registration, payment, learning materials, scheduling, and evaluation arrangements are administered through Arclight. Eligible NCCP training and evaluation records are submitted to the Locker when the applicable requirements have been completed.
Community Sport — Summer Camp
| ACA, CCI, UFA, 4-H, Scouts, and approved non-profit partners | $75* |
| ARX member or approved community program | $125 |
| Non-member, PSO, or other organization | $175 |
No provincial price difference applies to this course. Special partner rates require proof of current membership or organizational eligibility.
NCCP Instructor of Beginners
| Approved Archery Canada or PSO member, outside Alberta and Quebec | $125* |
| Non-member, standard province | $175 |
| Alberta or Quebec participant | $275 |
*A current letter of approval from the applicable PSO is required for the approved member rate. Practical evaluation is completed separately in person at an approved location.
NCCP Instructor of Intermediate
| Approved Archery Canada or PSO member, outside Alberta and Quebec | $225* |
| Non-member, standard province | $275 |
| Alberta or Quebec participant | $375 |
*A current letter of approval from the applicable PSO is required for the approved member rate. Participants should normally complete the Beginners pathway first unless prior training or experience has been reviewed and accepted.
Participants must have an NCCP number and active Locker account for official transcript, training, and evaluation records.
ARX Certification Pathway
ARX certification is issued independently by Arclight under its own course standards, practical assessment requirements, certification decisions, maintenance expectations, and professional-development framework.
ARX certification is separate from NCCP certification. Candidates who want both credentials must register for, complete, and pass each pathway separately.
ARX Instructor of Beginners
| Active ARX member | $180 |
| Non-member regular rate | $275 |
| Additional assessment attempt, when required | $100 |
Active ARX members receive 35% off the regular standalone ARX certification price. Discounted prices are rounded up to the next $5 increment.
ARX Instructor of Intermediate
| Active ARX member | $245 |
| Non-member regular rate | $375 |
| Additional assessment attempt, when required | $100 |
Active ARX members receive 35% off the regular standalone ARX certification price. Discounted prices are rounded up to the next $5 increment.
ARX Certification Records
ARX course completion, practical assessment, certification status, professional development, and maintenance records are managed through Arclight and the ARX Portal.
An ARX credential does not replace an NCCP credential, and it is not added to the participant’s NCCP Locker transcript as an NCCP certification.
ARX membership is optional. Non-members may complete ARX certification at the regular rate.
Course Scheduling and Minimum Registration
Open NCCP and ARX courses require a minimum of eight paid participants before they can proceed. Individuals or clubs with fewer than eight candidates may join an open course with participants from other clubs, organizations, or provinces.
Current planned course periods are November and January. Exact dates are confirmed after minimum registration is reached.
Private Club-Hosted Delivery
Clubs and organizations may request private in-person delivery at their own facility. A minimum of eight paid participants is required. The host must provide a suitable classroom, approved range space, required equipment, and any local support identified in the course agreement.
Each participant pays the applicable NCCP or ARX course fee shown above. The facilitator, travel, accommodation, and direct delivery expenses are added to the group booking.
Instructor of Beginners
| Participant course fee | Applicable rate |
| Facilitator fee | $400 |
| Travel | $0.68/km |
| Accommodation, when required | Actual cost |
Instructor of Intermediate
| Participant course fee | Applicable rate |
| Facilitator fee | $600 |
| Travel | $0.68/km |
| Accommodation, when required | Actual cost |
Additional Delivery Costs

| Parking, airfare, or ground transportation | Actual cost |
| Other approved direct expenses | Actual cost |
A written estimate is provided before the club confirms the booking.
Travel is calculated from the facilitator’s home base to the delivery site and return. Course fees, facilitator fees, travel, accommodation, and direct expenses may be paid by the host organization or divided among participants.

Communication Development for Leaders

Registration, Certification, and Records
- The Locker: Used for official NCCP numbers, transcripts, eligible NCCP training records, evaluation records, and NCCP certification status.
- Arclight registration: Used for course selection, payment, materials, scheduling, communication, and assessment arrangements for courses delivered by Arclight.
- ARX certification: A separate Arclight credential with its own standards, assessment, certification decision, records, maintenance requirements, and professional development expectations.
- ARX Portal membership: Optional for course registration. Membership is required only for member pricing and continued use of paid ARX coaching, planning, scoring, athlete-management, and development tools.
Courses and Modules Not Controlled by Arclight
Some certification requirements are delivered by the NCCP, a Provincial Sport Organization, or another external organization rather than directly by Arclight. Arclight does not set, collect, or control pricing for those programs. Examples include:
- Respect in Sport
- Safe Sport Training
- NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport
- NCCP Core Training for Learning Facilitators, which is distinct from Arclight’s own Learning Facilitator development and mentorship.
For current pricing, registration requirements, and availability, contact the NCCP, the applicable PSO, or the organization delivering the program. Arclight may provide registration guidance but cannot quote, waive, or adjust external fees.
